The Splendor of Nature - Landscape Photography by Xavier Jamonet
Xavier Jamonet is a fantastic lansdcape photographer, born in 1982 in the Drôme, France - a wonderful place to watch and enjoy nature. The photographer likes to spend time shooting in the Alps, because the mountains gives him many opportunities to admire, and sometimes, to fix these fleeting moments when the sun turns the landscape into cases of light.
" My attraction to photography was in turn raised later by my father. Thus, during the summer of 1999, I pressed for the first time the shutter of a camera facing the Vercors landscapes."
Therefore, my passion for nature and photography were inseparable. First attracted by the macro, using a film SLR (Canon EOS 300) gave me new opportunities. I tried my hand then to photos of insects and wild orchids for which I have quite low.
The film still with me today, and since the discovery of my first images taken using the Velvia film, a few years ago, the landscape is that I devote most of my free time . The recent shift to digital with the Canon EOS 5D has brought me much comfort, both in shooting and in image processing, with a quality at least equivalent to that which is achievable with a device 24x36 silver and besides, the pleasure of watching the images immediately.
